Used-equipment sourcing and selection

Define use and budget before shortlisting models, checking evidence, inspecting the unit and agreeing delivery.

Updated: 2026-10-02 · Purchasing guide

Start with the project

Record tasks, workload, site, temperature and destination. Define loads and working radius for lifting, ground and space for excavation, and payload and route for trucks.

Compare sourcing channels

Verify seller identity and equipment evidence for dealers, traders, platforms and individual sellers. A channel name does not establish ownership or acceptable condition.

Create a comparison sheet

Record identity, options, year, hours, findings, repairs and total budget for each unit. Mark missing values as “To be added”; model specifications do not replace unit measurements.

Work through milestones

Complete document checks, video screening, inspection, contract agreement, pre-loading recheck and handover records. Align evidence with payment milestones.

This is a general purchasing and evidence checklist. Confirm actual condition, transaction terms and import/export requirements for the case.

Sourcing channels and site visits

Consider Tiebaobei, dealer used-equipment channels, established traders or equipment owners. For sourcing around Chengdu or Meishan, arrange a site visit and verify the business, yard address, machine identity and payment recipient. A platform or brand name does not replace checks on an individual machine.

Reasons to pause a purchase

Pause if the seller refuses a cold start, independent inspection or access to critical components; identifiers are unreadable; ownership or finance gaps remain unresolved; hours contradict wear; or major structural repairs are unexplained. Investigate unusually low prices rather than treating price alone as proof. Resolve these issues before payment.
