Which wear parts matter for each category?
For excavators check tracks, teeth and hydraulic hoses; for cranes, ropes, sheaves and outrigger components; for trucks, tyres, brakes and filters. Loader cranes need separate chassis and crane checks.
Is a crane’s maximum capacity enough for selection?
No. Permissible loads depend on radius, boom length, outrigger setup and conditions. Obtain the load chart for the actual configuration and have a competent person assess the lifting plan.
Which inspection records matter for a used truck crane?
Review chassis and engine records alongside boom, slewing, outriggers, rope and safety-device checks. Any load testing should be performed by competent personnel under applicable procedures.
